 AFMA
- American Furniture Manufactures Association headquartered in
High Point, NC is the nation's largest trade organization for
furniture manufacturers in the United States. The Association is
dedicated to fostering the growth and development of the furniture
industry and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of furniture
manufacturing in the U.S.
The
Suppliers Division sponsors a scholarship program for the children
of those who are employed by AFMA member companies.
The Suppliers Division Scholarship
Fund provides scholarship aid to children of
employees of member organizations of the American Furniture
Manufacturers
Association. The scholarship awards are made to students age 21 or
under who are
enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in a two-or-four year
college, university, or
approved vocational/technical school. The awards are $2,000 each per
school year.
Recipients of the scholarship awards may re-apply in subsequent
years for additional
awards. The program is administered without regard to race, color,
creed, sex or
national origin.
